Hello everyone!

Good news: Last week we approved everything for production!

We received all the updated components in the mail (4mm thick Headquarters player boards and ivory-core cards) and we signed off on them and all components have now been ordered. Our account manager estimates it will be about 8 weeks to complete mass production but we will have a better idea of how long it will take once the factory provides an estimate.

For those of you paying attention, it does set our timeline such that the games will be arriving in via ocean freight and shipping out late September/early October.

 Headquarters Player Boards

The new player boards are twice as thick as the old ones. They are 4mm thick and sturdy. The sockets for the dice are 2mm deep, which is 1/8 of the height of the dice.

The pre-production boards in the photos were cut roughly, so the edges look pretty jagged in places, but the real production boards should be much better, as they'll be cut by a die.

Ivory-core Cardstock

Our new ivory-core cards arrived, and we've been testing them out. They feel and sound fine, and the printing looks just as good as the previous sample.

 First player token

As we mentioned last update, we received the corrected first player token a few weeks ago (but didn't get a chance to photograph it).

Here's the new wooden token, in the correct design and dimensions.

Next Steps

All components (except for the plastic box insert) are now approved and starting mass production. The insert designer also received the latest PPC in the mail (with the new thick player boards, etc) and they are working on the design.
